May I obtain a permit to vend on the sidewalk?
Sidewalk vending is generally prohibited by Los Angeles Municipal Code Section 42.00. Permits are issued only for selling activity associated with a special event.
How long does it take to get a permit?
Allow 72 hours or 3 business days for the inspection of the work site. Once the inspection has been completed you will be given your permit status.
When do I have to pay for the permit?
Upon approval you will be prompted to submit payment.
What methods of payments do you accept?
You may pay with cash, check or money order at the front desk. Payments with credit cards can be made online.
How long is my permit valid for?
Permits are valid for 30 days, if you desire an extension it will be granted for an additional 30 days. Please contact our office prior to expiration of your permit for an extension.
